High jumper competes at finals in Junior Olympics

The AAU Junior Olympics were held from July 29 through Aug. 5 in Des Moines, Iowa, where a young Badger finished seventh in the high jump against 16 competitors from across the country. Vion Miller is 9 years old. He is the son of Janda McQueen, and the grandson of Lampasas High School Principal Joey McQueen and Vickie McQueen, a longtime educator in Lampasas.
