Former Badger Steffin McCarter advances to Olympics

2015 Lampasas High School graduate Steffin McCarter advanced to the Olympic Games in Tokyo. He had a career-best mark of 8.26-meter (27 feet, 1.25 inches) to place third in long jump at the Olympic Trials in Oregon.

McCarter recently finished his senior season with the Texas Longhorns which included his Big 12 Outdoor Championship and a return trip to nationals. 

The Olympic Games are July 23-August 8 in Tokyo, Japan.
