Biden falsely accuses Trump of his own greatest offense

Body
As President Joe Biden was coming to the conclusion of his address at the AFL-CIO Convention last Tuesday, he made an inadvertently ironic observation. “We’re the most unique country in the world,” he said. “We’re organized on one notion. Every other country is organized based on ethnicity, religion, geography. But the United States is based on an idea, only country in the world based on an idea.

Democrats’ selective outrage over ‘insurrections’

Body
To listen to House Democrats’ -- and Liz Cheney’s and Adam Kinzinger’s, but I repeat myself -- shrieks of hysteria from the opening nights of the Jan. 6 House Select Committee dais is to hearken back to the Soviet-era show trials of yesteryear. Vladimir Lenin, as the veteran conservative commentator Roger Kimball reminds us, referred to them as “model trials,” wherein the “aim isn’t to discover the truth -- which was supposedly already known -- but to stage a propagandist exhibition.”

We need wisdom, not good intentions

Body
There is a reason nearly everyone is familiar with the saying, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” The reason is, of course, that it is true, and therefore it helps explain why there is so much evil. Take the 20th century, the bloodiest century on record, in which about 100 million people were murdered by despotic regimes, nearly all of them communist. Many of the people who supported communism thought they were doing good.

We need a national revival

As you know, we are all fellow travelers on a journey through our lives – to heaven to live with God/Christ or to hell to live with Satan in an eternal fire. As we read the Bible, we find the righteous way and the materialistic way.

An open letter to Senator Cornyn

Body
I was very disappointed to see you, once again, exploring new repressive, anti-gun laws to pass. I see you are partnering with the rabidly anti-gun and anti-Bill of Rights Senator Chris Murphy. He supports total confiscation of guns from law-abiding Americans. You seem to be seeking to pass whatever repressive, anti-gun law you can get away with and not totally alienate Texans.

Sabotaging America’s military from within

Body
year ago in May, comparison of military recruitment ads from China, Russia and the U.S. went viral on social media. Our foreign competitors wooed their potential enlistees with muscular appeals to national pride and protection of the traditional nuclear family. A U.S. Army promotional campaign, by contrast, featured a pastel-hued cartoon depiction of a female soldier named “Emma” who marched in a gay pride parade with her two mothers and became a soldier to “shatter some stereotypes.” A

John Adams, who would soon surrender the presidency to Thomas Jefferson, ventured up to Capitol Hill on Nov. 22, 1800, to deliver the firstever in-person presidential address in the not-yet-finished home of the United States Congress. It was noon on a Saturday. What message did he deliver?

Sussman verdict not surprising

Body
Former Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee lawyer Michael Sussmann has been found not guilty by a Washington, D.C.-based jury. He was charged with making a false statement to former FBI General Counsel James Baker when he stated he was not representing the Clinton campaign when he provided false information to the FBI alleging Trump Tower was communicating with the Moscow-based Alfa Bank in 2016.
