Politics without principle will devolve into chaos

Body
George Santos, a newly elected congressman from Long Island, New York, has been caught in a string of embarrassing lies about his background. He claimed to have received a degree from Baruch College in 2010; he didn’t.

Has removing oil from Strategic Petroleum Reserve helped prices at all?

Body
Since taking office, President Joe Biden has released more than 251 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve over about a 12-month period, at a pace of 1.45 million barrels a day on average, according to data compiled by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Secular conservatives not likely to have conservative children

Body
Secular conservatives have done great work on behalf of America, liberty and conservatism in general. But they will not likely have conservative grandchildren and many will not have conservative children. I know this because I speak with hundreds of conservatives a year in person and on the radio. I routinely ask these questions: “How many children do you have?” After they give me a number, I ask: “With regard to their holding your conservative values, what’s your batting average?”

The transgender trajectory

Body
The children gathered that day for the first time in their first-grade classroom. At the top of the agenda: learn how to do simple problems in addition and subtraction. After the teacher reviewed some basic principles of arithmetic, she asked one of the students: “Do you know what one plus one equals?”

Creation of the physical universe

Body
Cosmologists today include an inflationary period to explain our universe. So, God could very well have created every aspect of the universe in an “inflationary way.” If so, He simply speeded up our physical laws and processes to give us a finished universe in a very short time, a time period that our understanding of these existing laws would take billions of years.

Celebrate Musk, but don’t lose sight of Big Tech’s enduring problems

Body
The story of Elon Musk’s acquisition, transformation and public rehabilitation of Twitter is nothing short of remarkable. Here is that rarest of confluences: A right-leaning (or at least right-sympathetic) mega-billionaire privately acquires a disproportionately influential public company out of genuine public-spiritedness, perhaps even a hint of noblesse oblige, and an earnest commitment to preserving open discourse in our modern digital public square; exposes grievous previous company wrongs for the whole world to see in a dramatic unveiling of the eponymous “Twitter Files”; and makes decisive personnel decisions to toss out core leaders of the corrupt old regime, and begins to chart a promising new path forward.
