Mr. Purcell

Chip Purcell, 36, of Copperas Cove, died after an accident in Lampasas on Sept. 24, 2024.Chip was born on Dec. 1, 1987, in Houston to Jackie Purcell II and Pam Badgett Purcell.He graduated from Marble Falls High School.He served in the U.S. Air Force for six years and settled in Copperas Cove.

Suzanne Smith Rush, 67, died on Sept. 4, 2024, in Lometa. Funeral services were held Sept. 10 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, with burial at Naruna Cemetery in Burnet County.Suzanne was born on April 25, 1957, in Lockhart to Desmond Keller Smith and Evelyn Moore Smith.

Ruth Marie Krivokucha, 83, of Adamsville died at her home on Sept. 10, 2024.Born on March 22, 1941, in Tulia, Ruth grew up in the Adamsville area and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1959.Ruth worked as a teacher’s aide for many years.

Robert Allen Carroll, 73, of Lampasas died at his home on Sept. 11, 2024.Born on Feb. 13, 1951, in Waco to Vernon and Mary Anne Carroll, Robert grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1969.

Services planned Wednesday for Faydell Vann

Velma Faydell Vann, 86, of Lampasas died on Sept. 13, 2024, at Lampasas Assisted Living.Visitation will be held at First Street Church of Christ on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m., with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Travis Tallent, 33, died on Sept. 3, 2024. He lived a life marked by love, laughter, generosity and compassion.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 11 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, with his uncle, Bob Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at Straley Cemetery in Adamsville.
