Arthur B. Tucker, 84, of Kempner died on Feb. 18, 2021 in Round Rock.

He was born in Roby to William Plez and Rebecca Frances (West) Tucker on Oct. 26, 1936.

He married Mary Ann Branch on Sept. 6, 1959 in Anson, and they were married for 61 years.

Mr. Tucker had lived in Lampasas County for the past 32 years, having spent most of his younger years in Rotan. He was a woodworker, and specialized in cabinet making and finishing for several years. He and his wife also owned and operated Tuckers Janitoria Service for over 15 years in Lampasas.

He was a Baptist.

Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, one son and one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Tucker of Kempner; one son, Artie Tucker and Traci of Beaumont; daughters Yvette Wright and Cliff of Springtown, and Dena Harbin and Dean of Austin one sister, Lanell White of Rotan; eight grandchildren Teiah, Bradley, Mariesha, Amanda, Brian, Blake, Brandon and Kacey; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Feb. 24 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas.

A graveside service took place Feb. 25 at Rock Church Cemetery at Rumley, with John Branch officiating.

Memorials may be given to Battle for a Cure Foundation.
