FOOD PANTRY
St. Mary Catholic Church will hold a drive-through food distribution March 26 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The food pantry will offer large bags of non-perishable canned and boxed groceries, and it plans to have eggs, meat, bread and produce available as well.
All are welcome, and no appointment is needed. Come to the parking lot at 701 N. Key Ave. for distribution.
KEMPNER SLOGAN CONTEST
Kempner is seeking public participation in a competition to pick a new city slogan. Suggestions are due April 9 at 3:30 p.m. The Kempner City Council will vote on the new slogan April 13, and the contest winner will receive a $100 prize – which Mayor Keith Harvey donated.

COVID-19 UPDATE
Lampasas County Local Health Authority Dr. Georgia Hay reported that as of Monday, the county had six active cases of COVID-19 and one hospitalization due to COVID-19.
As of Monday, 1,573 people in the county had been fully vaccinated, and 3,042 had received at least one vaccine dose. The county has recorded 2,091
