TxDOT to work on U.S. Highway 281 near high school

Beginning Tuesday, various temporary lane closures will occur as the Texas Department of Transportation Brownwood District works on U.S. Highway 281 South in Lampasas to repair pavement damage caused by the recent severe weather. 

The work zone will be between County Road 4016, north of Lampasas High School, and County Road 1002.

The right southbound lane will be closed while work is underway. TxDOT crews will begin repairs in the northbound lanes and, as work is completed, move to the left southbound lane.  Motorists should plan for possible delays.

This work is estimated to be complete by the end of this week, weather permitting, according to TxDOT.
