The Browning Community Garden Club and Killeen Garden Club held their annual Veterans Day Celebration Nov. 11. Members placed a wreath at the base of a Blue Star Memorial Highway marker along U.S. Highway 190 and planted poppy seeds in the area, which they say they hope will bloom in the spring. Marlene Gillman, president of the Killeen Garden Club, gave a speech honoring veterans. Pictured are Killeen Garden Club members to the left of the marker and Browning Community Garden Club members to the right.
