An expansion could be on its way for the Lampasas Municipal Airport.Aviation Director Robert Lansford detailed possible growth plans, which include an extended runway, to members of the local non-profit Forward Lampasas at its meeting last Friday.

After an executive session during Monday’s meeting of the Lampasas City Council, Mayor Pro Tem Cathy Kuehne made a motion to authorize the city attorney to execute an employment contract for the position of city manager, effective Sept. 2.

The Lampasas County Historical Commission is seeking a Texas Historical Marker for the Lometa School. Total cost is $2,500. Donations are requested to make this marker possible. Funds are needed by mid-September.The Lometa Class of 1963 has chipped in $430, but more is needed.

Klose relatives to hold 104th family reunion

The Klose family will celebrate more than a century of gatherings when family members meet Saturday. The 104th reunion is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Street Church of Christ fellowship hall.Klose reunions are always held the first Saturday of August.
