Kempner police department earns multiple grants

The Kempner City Council OK’d four resolutions during last Tuesday’s regular meeting for grants that will provide the Kempner Police Department with new equipment. Also during the meeting, council members heard a presentation regarding a potential interlocal agreement between the city and Lampasas County.

LHS students to begin tiny home construction

Lampasas High School students in the construction technology program are set to begin building the first of two tiny home projects this month. LHS has received some trusses and concrete blocks to begin laying the foundations for the tiny homes.

Night sky-friendly business recognized

Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky has recognized Cattles Pharmacy for its part in maintaining dark skies in the city. The business operates its outside lights on a timer that runs them from dusk to dawn. The recessed fixtures under the canopy illuminate the walkways and side of the building, providing an efficient use of light.
