Date change announced for ‘Reducing Food Waste’ classes

The AgriLife Extension Office in Lampasas County has announced a change for the four-session series entitled “Get a Taste for Reducing Food Waste” classes. This free series will be presented once a month from January through April, beginning Jan. 16 at 10:30 a.m.

City of Killeen contracts with Veterans Land Board to operate Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery

Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, who also serves as Veterans Land Board chairwoman, announced last week that the city of Killeen has entered a contractual agreement with the VLB regarding daily operations of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Three injured in early December wrecks

Three people were injured in two collisions earlier this month, prompting Texas Department of Public Safety officials to remind motorists to travel at safe speeds, especially on wet roadways. On Dec. 8 at 7:42 a.m.
