Casino Night tickets available for February fundraiser event

Tickets are available now for Wild West Casino Night, set for Feb. 17 at the Lampasas County Show Barn, 283 North U.S. Highway 183. Included are dinner, gambling chips and a chance to win $1,000. Casino Night benefits Vision Lampasas, Lampasas Lions Club and Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce.

ERCOT issues notice of winter weather conditions; temps could plunge into the teens next week

ERCOT has issued a notice prior to wintry weather conditions expected next week, and data shows emergency alerts may occur. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas issued an operating condition notice on Wednesday at just before 1 a.m.

Hit and run leads to search on foot

Lampasas County Sheriff’s authorities sought individuals involved in a hit-and-run collision on Tuesday morning, but police confirmed a pursuit never took place. In the midmorning of Tuesday, Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were alerted to a report of a hit and run near West First Street.
