Museum sustains water damage

School board considers new layout for LMS campus building

The Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees believes a new Lampasas Middle School building may have a home behind the Bozarth-Fowler Gym. This comes after voters authorized $115.55 million in bonds May 2 to fund the new campus construction.

Council proposes changes to ordinance for smoke shops

On Monday, the Lampasas City Council once again discussed zoning for smoke shops inside the city limits. This time, the council moved in a direction that makes it much harder for a proposed smoke shop to be allowed in Lampasas.

The Lampasas County Retired Teachers Association has been busy this school year. The group has had monthly meetings, two districtlevel meetings and one statewide meeting.On March 25, Texas Retired Teachers Association held a Virtual House of Delegates in Waco.

Edwards receives ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’

Mickey Edwards, past Master of the Saratoga Lodge Masonic Lodge #546, was awarded the Golden Trowel on May 9.Edwards’ father, John Gail Edwards, also was a past Master and Golden Trowel recipient.The award is the highest honor a local Masonic lodge can bestow upon a member.
