LAMPASAS FFA MEMBER CHOSEN AS AREA VII OFFICERCongratulations go to Lampasas FFA member Michaela White, who has been elected an Area VII officer.This is the first time Lampasas has had a member elected to area office in more than 15 years, according to FFA adviser Judy Hail.

Museum closed while undergoing roof repairs

The Lampasas County Museum is working toward recovery after Mother’s Day rains flooded the building through a leaky roof. The museum will remain closed for the rest of the summer due to damage sustained.

Lampasas ISD Nutrition Services is offering summer meals for children. Meals are served at Hanna Springs Elementary School Monday through Friday (except Memorial Day) through June 19, and at Taylor Creek Elementary Monday through Thursday from June 1-25.Breakfast is served from 7:30-9:30 a.m.

Summer Reading program begins

Registration for the Lampasas Public Library’s Summer Reading program has begun.During June, there will be programs for children ages 3-10, teens ages 11-17, and adults ages 18 and up.To participate in the Reading Challenge, sign up and receive a reading log. Prizes are available.
