Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens from left, Adam Clark of Lavaca County, Brent Biggs of Aransas County, Ray Milloway of Lampasas County and Chris Sanchez of Bell County safely evacuated several residents from along the Colorado River on Wednesday.

Former Lampasas resident Rebecca Elaine Biddy, 58, died as a result of this week’s flooding in Llano County, according to her brother-in-law, Ronnie Witcher. 

The Third Street railroad crossing will be closed until further notice.

Lampasas police said the crossing is “not safe to cross at this time and may cause damage to vehicles and/or could cause a vehicle to become stuck on the tracks.”

The 2018 Central Texas Hay Production Workshop originally scheduled for Thursday at the Burnet County Extension Office has been canceled.
