Lampasas County grand jury convened last week as part of the July term. The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office, represented by Investigator Matt Barnes, had information that resulted in indictments against: Tommy Ray Hultz on a charge of theft on June 7.

Family displaced by Sunday fire

A Lampasas family was displaced after a fire Sunday consumed the interior of their house. Lampasas Fire Marshal John Paul Harris said Lampasas Fire Department responded to a single-story, four-bedroom, two-bath home in the 1400 block of West First Street at 10:51 a.m.

Commissioners Court discusses budget, agreement for holiday decorations

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court decided to approve a written agreement for the use of the iron Christmas decorations that are placed around the courthouse each year. The decorations belong to County Clerk Connie Hartmann, and she has allowed the county to display them during the holiday season for many years.

New look to middle school entrance

Lampasas Middle School recently updated the features at the front entrance to the Broad Street campus. Principal Wes Graham made a presentation at this month’s meeting of the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees outlining various improvements and upgrades at the school facility and in the academic programs.
