Youth ministry plans annual banquet

Lampasas County Young Life will hold its annual fundraising banquet Oct. 13 from 5-8 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, 2974 U.S. Highway 281 South in Lampasas.This marks the 10-year anniversary of the youth ministry. The event will offer a meal, live and silent auctions, and entertainment.

Farm Bureau to hold annual convention

Lampasas County Farm Bureau members should begin making plans to attend the annual Lampasas County Farm Bureau Convention to be held at the Lampasas County Livestock Show Barn, 283 North U.S. Highway 190. The Oct. 8 meeting and convention begins at 6 p.m.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Lampasas Middle School Principal Wes Graham assured parents and staff that campus safety is of utmost importance. More information about district security measures being undertaken will appear in an upcoming edition. The LMS facility is an area of concern due to its vulnerable campus design, officials have said. Second threat made at LMS campus

Less than a week after a Lampasas Middle School student was reported to have made a firearm threat, another weapon threat was issued by a student from the same campus, officials said.
