Lampasas Skate Park takes shape

The Lampasas Skate Park is taking shape following weather delays this season, officials said. Lampasas Parks & Recreation Director Chris Eicher said the dirt pad, which will serve as the foundation for the skate park, was completed recently.

Severe cold weather headed to Lampasas

Single-digit temperatures are something most Texans are not used to, and that is what sits around the corner as Christmas approaches. Monique Sellers, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said that starting Thursday temperatures would begin to drop as a heavy cold front moves in, and from Thursday night through Saturday, low temperatures could be in the single digits and teens.

New franchise is brewing

The famous two-tailed mermaid logo has risen over Lampasas. Starbucks coffee, which has been under construction since May, erected signage last week on Key Avenue at its new location. Lampasas city officials said the business anticipates opening by mid-January 2023.
