Walnut Street home sustains damage after Monday afternoon fire in bedroom

A one-story home on South Walnut Street in Lampasas suffered major damage from flames Monday afternoon.No injuries were suffered due to the fire, according to Lampasas Fire Marshal Bart Baker.The Lampasas Fire Department received notification of a structure fire at 704 S. Walnut St. at 2:12 p.m.

Final suspects in lottery fraud case sentenced by 27th District Court

The final two suspects in a Lampasas lottery fraud case were sentenced on Oct. 25.Frankie Lee Felan, 33, of Copperas Cove and Nicole Johns, 42, of Lampasas each were sentenced to five years of deferred adjudication by the 27th District Court of Lampasas County.

Valve repaired on water transmission line

The Kempner Water Supply Corp. completed repairs Tuesday evening to a valve along the 27-inch concrete main transmission line near U.S. Highway 190 and FM 2808 east of Kempner.

Food preservation workshop set for Nov. 21
