Providence Christian Academy of Lampasas held its third annual banquet and fundraiser on Nov. 8, in the Lampasas Methodist Church fellowship hall.The audience was entertained by the students’ production of an original allegory, “Rock the Boat,” written and directed by the academy’s theater and P.E.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings.Defendant Eric Cesar Bear of Abilene entered a guilty plea to a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The charge was prosecuted as a Class A misdemeanor.
