    After years of work on U.S. Highway 281, the Texas Department of Transportation Brownwood District’s contractor is approaching the finish line. The project between Sulphur Creek and the Lampasas-Burnet County line is anticipated to be completed on Wednesday. Last week, crews completed paving on all lanes.
