A 52-year-old Kempner man -- Stacy Len Tucker -- was pronounced dead at the site of a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on County Road 3430.
The Texas Department of Public reported the rollover occurred two miles northeast of Lampasas at 1:38 p.m.
“The investigating trooper revealed that a 2006 Ford Ranger pick-up, operated by Tucker, was southbound near the 1000 block on CR 3430, heading into a curve,” a DPS news release stated. “For reasons unknown, Tucker failed to drive in a single lane, left the roadway, and the vehicle rolled over.”
Precinct 2&3 Justice of the Peace Camron D. Brister pronounced Tucker dead at the crash site.
“DPS reminds motorists to reduce speed when roadway conditions require,” Sgt. Bryan Washko said. “Slowing down during inclement weather and when approaching a curve in the roadway will greatly reduce the chances of being involved in a traffic crash.”
