Morris defeats Tucker for Place 1 on Lampasas City Council
TJ Monroe beat Myles Haider for Lampasas mayor in Saturday's election, and John Wilkerson defeated incumbent Keith Harvey in Kempner's mayoral race.
Monroe got 310 votes to Haider's 239.
Wilkerson received 127 votes, while Harvey got 28.
For Place 1 on the Lampasas City Council, Zach Morris defeated Clayton Tucker with a vote tally of 377-180.
Randy Clark — unopposed for re-election to Place 2 on the Lampasas council — received 499 votes.
Place 6 candidate Herb Pearce, who also had no opponent, got 490 votes.
Kempner voters elected Rob Green to City Council Place III and Dan Long to Place IV. Each candidate was unopposed and got 140 votes.
Johnny Towerton, incumbent James Dickison and incumbent Marsha Laughlin won election to at-large seats on the Lometa City Council. Towerton received 49 votes, Dickison had 44, and Laughlin got 31.
Other Lometa candidates and their vote tallies were: Sara Salinas, 28; Shirl Rae Shineldecker, 25; and Larry Koch, 22.
