In a meeting last week, the Lometa City Council voted unanimously to select Grant Works to facilitate and implement federal funds Lometa could receive for infrastructure.
As part of the American Rescue Act of 2021, a total of $19.5 billion was allotted for distribution to cities with populations of less than 50,000. Funding is to go toward infrastructures such as water, sewer and broadband.
