City discusses lack of applicants for 2023 pool season

Public pool operations may be at risk this season due to a lack of applicants for city lifeguard positions. During a workshop Monday night, Lampasas city staff said they are struggling to fill openings for season lifeguards. A minimum of 28 are needed to man the two municipal pools, and only one person had applied for the position, said Vicki Tower, Parks & Recreation Department secretary. …
