Fifteen years ago, the Lampasas Public Library offered a barbecue sandwich lunch as a way to raise funds. It was such a success it has become an annual event.
This year’s BBQ for Books drive-through lunch pickup is set for Oct. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
During COVID shutdowns, the fundraiser had to be canceled, 'and I think everyone really missed it,' Library Director Shanda Subia said.
