With live release rates climbing and the Lampasas Animal Shelter receiving a high number of cats on a regular basis, the Lampasas City Council on Monday approved the construction of a cattery.
The building, which is estimated to cost $28,700, will be paid entirely with a grant through the Best Friends Animal Society.
