The Kempner Volunteer Fire Department is seeking donations for its annual BBQ Fundraiser in April.
Lt. Todd Burkett, spokesperson for KVFD, said the department has begun to collect donations of items for auction as well as monetary donations for barbecue meats.
“We’re going to need about 670 pounds of brisket,” Burkett said. “We had 43 or 44 briskets last year, and we only had two left over.”
