The city of Kempner is ramping up its search for a new chief of police, according to City Manager Rebecca Ramos.
The opening follows the Sept. 4 termination of former chief Heriberto Rodriguez. An independent investigation of an Aug. 11 allegation found no evidence to support that complaint but did identify leadership failures the city said were inconsistent with its standards for department heads.
