The Lampasas County Commissioners Court voted Dec. 30 to approve the name Heart of Texas Rural Rail District for the rural rail district that includes Lampasas, San Saba and McCulloch counties.
County Judge Randy Hoyer participated in the meeting by phone, and Precinct 4 Commissioner Mark Rainwater was absent. Commissioners Bobby Carroll, Jamie Smart and Lewis Bridges were present.
