A trial date has been slated for former Lometa Police Chief Melissa Cantu in a case where she has been charged with wiretapping.
Cantu will appear in court March 25 to face a jury trial -- a course her attorney, Ben Michael of Michael & Associates of Austin, said is desired. Jury announcement is set for March 15 in 27th District Court.
