BURN BAN
A county burn ban was in effect at press time. The ban applies outside Lampasas, Kempner and Lometa city limits.
The county order prohibits many types of outdoor fires, including open campfires and brush fires that do not meet specific conditions.
A violation of the burn ban is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a maximum fine of $500.
