RECEPTION FOR POLICE CHIEF
A retirement reception will be held Friday from 2-4 p.m. at the Jack Calvert Municipal Building, 302 E. Third St., to honor Chief of Police Sammy Bailey.
Bailey is retiring after 38 years on the police force.
She served as assistant chief for 20 years and as chief for five years.
Her last day with the police department is Friday. The event is open to the public.
