Lampasas City officials have announced the boil water notice as rescinded as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Results from water tests taken on Thursday came back as sanitary and safe for human consumption.

Lampasas City Manager Finley deGraffenried said chloramine testing “makes sure there’s no bacteria” in the water lines.

This comes a total of 61 hours after a boil water notice was originally issued by Kempner Water Supply Corp. on Monday night.

According to a city statement, city staff “has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of Nov. 3.”
