Cities in the Central Texas area recorded sizable gains in sales tax receipts this month. DISPATCH RECORD GRAPHIC
Central Texas entities posted significant gains in their monthly sales tax rebates this period. Seven of the 12 entities tracked by the Dispatch Record saw increases of 30% or more in May, while four cities notched gains between 20% and 21%.
The smallest sales tax increase among cities in the surrounding counties came from Evant, where the May payment was up 13%.
