Three LHS seniors enlist in military

Three Lampasas High School seniors were recognized Monday morning for taking the oath of enlistment for the United States Army and Texas National Guard. Principal Joey McQueen gave opening comments before the three students rose their right hand to pledge to serve their country.

Classmates hold reunion at Casbeer home

Lampasas High School graduates from the Class of 1962 met at the home of Tom and Martha Casbeer to celebrate their 60-year reunion. In the evening, they gathered at Bill’s Burgers for dinner and music by the Elderly Brothers, which includes class member Robbis Storm. LISD to offer summer meals at no cost to students

The Lampasas ISD Nutrition Services Department has announced that its summer meals program will be offered again this year at no cost. Children and teens through age 18, plus students with disabilities up to age 21, are eligible.

Students celebrate Ag Day at the Hanna Springs campus

Hanna Springs Elementary School’s Ag Day emphasis returned last week after a two-year hiatus. Elementary students from several campuses attended, and state and local organizations and volunteers were on hand, including representatives from the USDA Wildlife Services, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Game Warden Division, Hamilton County Electric Cooperative, and Lampasas County 4-H and FFA chapters.
