Extension Service offers ways to reduce risk for Cyclospora

The Cyclospora outbreak has many people wondering what they should do with lettuce and other types of fresh produce to ensure it is safe to consume. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, investigation of the nationwide outbreak of Cyclospora is ongoing.

Farmers Feeding Families delivery

As part of the Lampasas County Farm Bureau’s Farmers Feeding Families program, local president Stephen Ruzicka and Farm Bureau director Steve Forsythe deliver 160 pounds of pork to the St. Mary Catholic Church Food Pantry for distribution to local families in need.

Museum preparing for annual street dance

After a summer of rebuilding, the Lampasas County Museum is gearing up for its annual Western Night on Western street dance in September.The museum has been empty and on the recovery trail since it sustained flood damages on Mother’s Day.
