The Central Texas College spring 2020 graduation ceremony originally scheduled for May has been postponed as the campus remains closed due to the COVD-19 pandemic. Nearly 420 students were expected to participate in the procession. They now will be recognized during the fall commencement in December.

The Lometa Independent School District Board of Trustees swore in new member Courtney Duncan, as well as recently reelected trustee Mario Maldonado, during Tuesday’s virtual school board meeting.

Two area students awarded PEC scholarships

Pedernales Electric Cooperative has announced the recipients of its 2020 scholarships. A total of 35 students received awards ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 for a total of $100,000.
