Lampasas Animal Shelter will combat animal crowding by joining the nationwide Clear the Shelters event during the month of August.
Between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, cats and dogs can be adopted from the shelter by a “name your price” fee. On Aug. 27, the shelter will be open for extended hours, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to facilitate adoptions.
