Lampasas Community Gardens to receive grant

Lampasas Community Gardens will receive a grant of $2,500 from the Rosendin Foundation on March 23 at 4 p.m. at Campbell Park, behind the Hanna Springs Swimming Pool.

After the grant presentation, Lampasas Community Gardens will hold a ribbon cutting with the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce.

Lampasas Community Gardens has applied for a Lower Colorado River Authority grant for a tool shed. If the organization receives the LCRA grant, it plans to use some or all of the Rosendin Foundation grant to provide a rainwater collection system for the garden area.

Lampasas Community Gardens also received a grant of $2,000 from the Square Foot Garden Foundation.
