Lometa dominated all facets of its final game of the 2024 season, prevailing over the Santa Anna Mountaineers by a score of 66-18.The Hornets shared the wealth during the game, with seven different players finding the end zone -- six of those being senior athletes playing their last game.

Badgers to face Pecos Thursday night in first round of the postseason

The Badger football team will head to Wall, Texas on Thursday for the bi-district round of the playoffs against the Pecos Eagles. The game will be played at 7 p.m.The Eagles finished their season 3-7 overall with a 1-2 record in District 3-4A Region I.

Girls’ basketball season underway with new leadership

The Lady Badger basketball season is officially underway, as the girls hit the road Tuesday night to take on Canyon Lake. Lampasas lost the opener 45-33.The team was led by Addison Borchardt with 13 points. She also grabbed 10 rebounds and had three steals.

Lampasas cross country runner finishes middle of the pack at state meet

Last week, a Lampasas cross country runner got his shot at competing in the state meet, and he finished right in the middle of the pack.Brayden Phillips placed 80th among the 160 runners at the state cross country meet in the final race of his high school career.

Boys’ basketball team finishes scrimmages; regular season up next

The Badger basketball team took on a couple of opponents in scrimmages Tuesday to round out the preseason before playing in the regularseason home opener next Tuesday against Eastside Memorial.The Badgers played a live quarter against Hyde Park and Waco Robinson.
