Badgers hold on to win after late Salado surge

The Badger basketball team picked up a road district win over the Salado Eagles on Tuesday night. Lampasas won 49-45.The Badgers came out on fire early, and they were up by double digits in the second quarter – as much as by 18 points, but they never got the lead to 20.

Badgers dominate Jarrell, move to 3-1 in district play

Last Friday, the Badger basketball team played its third home game in four district competitions thus far and won in blowout fashion over the Jarrell Cougars. The score was 80-48.A fast and furious start put Lampasas ahead in the first two quarters, and the team never looked back from there.

Wrestling teams tangle at multiple tournaments

The Lampasas wrestling teams competed in two different tournaments over the past couple of weeks, with many athletes bringing home medals and other hardware.At the Raider Ruckus, Lady Badgers Taylor Martell and Sayler Siters placed first in their divisions, and Zayli Schulz took third.

Lampasas soccer goes 2-0 at Waco tournament

The varsity soccer team participated in the Central Texas Showcase in Waco over the weekend.The weather allowed them to play in two of their three scheduled matches. In game one, the Badgers got a little revenge against Waco Meyer after playing a draw against them last weekend.

Calum Mitchell shoots a three-point shot over a Jarrell defender during the Badgers’ 80-48 win against the Cougars last Friday night. Mitchell finished the contest with 10 points. Lampasas will head to Salado tonight for the second district road game of the season.
