Many Lampasas wrestlers moving on to regional meet

The Lampasas wrestling teams competed at the district meet Wednesday, and several athletes will advance to the regional competition.The Lampasas girls placed third as a team and had two individual district champions: Jordan Winfree and Taylor Martell.

The Lady Badger basketball team played a thriller last Friday night against the Lady Mustangs of Marble Falls.The team won 40-38 in double overtime with a big fourth-quarter comeback after trailing the entire game.

Giving up 31 total points, including putting up a zero in the second quarter, is almost always a formula that adds up to a win, and it did exactly that Friday night for Badger basketball.Lampasas picked up a 4531 victory at home over the Marble Falls Mustangs to move to 7-1 in district play.
