Chloe Thorp will be heading to Arlington Baptist University after graduation to continue her academic and basketball career with the Patriots. She was a four-year letterman with the Lady Badgers and leaves a lasting impact.

Lady Badgers lose second-to-last district game to Salado

The Lady Badger basketball team fell to Salado in the final home game of the season Friday night.The girls lost 63-31 in a game where they struggled to get much going offensively, and Salado got hot shooting from the outside.The loss brings Lampasas to 3-6 in district play.

Tennis team competes in large Pflugerville tournament

Spring tennis is fully underway, as the varsity team traveled to compete in Pflugerville last Friday.The tournament consisted of 26 different teams and set up a full day of tennis for schools.“This is our first tourney of eight over the next three months,” Lampasas head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Badgers win final home game over Salado

The Badger basketball team closed out its final home game of the season with another grind-out victory, this time over the Salado Eagles.Lampasas won 4642 with a high-level defensive performance that has become the identity of this team.

Boys’ and girls’ powerlifting teams win home competition

The Lampasas boys’ and girls’ powerlifting teams swept their home meet last Thursday.Both teams won the event. The Badgers scored 65 total points, and the Lady Badgers scored 68.On the boys’ side, the team had 27 different lifters, and a couple of records were broken.

Badgers win slow-paced game over Cougars

The Badger basketball team had to find a different way to win Tuesday night when they hit the road to Jarrell.The Cougars made an effort to take the air out of the ball and kill clock on each possession. Also, the Badgers were without Beau Patterson, who was dealing with an injury.

Girls’ basketball loses tight game to Jarrell

The Lady Badger basketball team played a tough four quarters on the road Tuesday night against Jarrell and came up short of a victory, falling 45-35 to the Lady Cougars.Lampasas got out to a hot start, but Jarrell ended the first quarter on a run and took a 19-10 lead into the second quarter.
