Soccer team loses first district match against Brownwood

The Lampasas boys’ soccer team lost the district opener 2-1 to Brownwood at home on Tuesday night.The Badgers fell behind 2-0 before Jeremiah Canto scored a penalty kick late in the match to cut the lead in half, but they could not get the second goal.

The brand-new UIL districts for football, basketball and volleyball were officially announced Monday.The Lampasas High School football, volleyball and basketball programs all will be competing in new regions, as football moved from Region I to Region III.

It was another tough shooting night for the Lady Badger basketball team. Lampasas fell 42-30 to the Jarrell Lady Cougars on Tuesday night.The Lady Badgers went 10 of 32 from the field and just 1 of 14 from threepoint range in the game.
