Lampasas girls get redemption for earlier loss to Marble Falls

The Lady Badgers played host to the Marble Falls Lady Mustangs on Thursday after the game was moved from Tuesday because of the icy conditions last week.
The Lady Badgers lost to Marble Falls in the first round of district play, and they were determined to change that this time around.

Middle school basketball teams take majority of wins over Jarrell

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams from Lampasas Middle School took on Jarrell last week. Of the eight games played, the Badgers finished 6-2 on the night.
Starting with the seventhgrade girls’ “B” team, the Lady Badgers won 20-16.

Powerlifting teams finish third, fifth at recent Llano meet

The Badger boys’ powerlifting team scored 39 total points and finished third as a team at its recent meet in Llano.
“I was very proud of the way the lifters competed as a team and as individuals,” boys’ coach David Brister said.

Burnet takes home game over Badgers

Last Friday, the Badgers traveled into a hostile environment in Burnet, and they were not able to come away with the win.
Lampasas struggled offensively to start the game, and that put the boys in a hole, as they trailed 12-6 after the first quarter.

Lampasas tennis team competes in first spring tournament

The Lampasas varsity tennis team traveled to Pflugerville last week for a 21-team tournament. This was the first of eight tournaments scheduled before district, and it was filled with plenty of 5A and 6A competition, according to head coach Kenneth Peiser.
