Youth tennis camp to be offered this summer

Lampasas head tennis coach Kenneth Peiser will offer a four-day youth tennis camp at the high school courts. The camp will be available for all students interested in tennis, from incoming firstgraders to those going into their freshman year of high school. Camp dates are May 22-25. From 8-9 a.m.

Middle school soccer teams pick up a couple of wins

The Lampasas Middle School girls’ soccer team played three games in 12 days, and they ended up 1-2 over that stretch. First, LMS played Taylor and dominated the possession game but gave up goals on breakaways. The girls ended up losing 4-1, according to head coach Nathaniel Brayton.

Badgers’ summer football camp, SWAT coming soon

The Badgers will host a youth football camp May 15-17. Each day will run from 4-6 p.m. Students in first grade through fifth grade are eligible to register. Cost of the football camp is $35. Campers need a T-shirt, shorts, cleats or tennis shoes and sunscreen to participate.

Four Lampasas athletes sign letters of intent to play college sports

Last Thursday, two Badgers and two Lady Badgers all signed their letters of intent to play sports at the college level. Ethan Moreno and David Flores will be playing football. Moreno is heading to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, and Flores will play for Lyon College in Arkansas.
