Hornets fall in high-scoring affair with Rochelle

Lometa dropped its second contest in a row on Friday, losing to the Rochelle Hornets by a score of 70-59. Turnovers and poor execution on special teams doomed Lometa, as the Hornets missed six extra points. Rochelle returned multiple kickoffs for touchdowns in the game as well.

Lampasas tennis comes up short in district match at Stephenville

The Lampasas tennis team traveled to its first district match, playing in Stephenville last week under cloudy, humid conditions. “We started out in pretty good shape, taking four of the seven doubles matches,” Lampasas head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Badgers run from Pflugerville after tough road win

The Badgers had to get past nearly every obstacle possible to continue their undefeated season in 2023. Lampasas went on the road Thursday night to Pflugerville Connally to play the Badgers’ first away game, then they had to endure a weather delay that lasted around an hour and a half.

Tennis plays final matches before district action starts

The Lampasas tennis team played host to Belton and Leander last week, and they split the two matches, beating Belton and losing to Leander. Against Belton, the Badgers won six of the seven doubles matches.

Lady Badgers play Gatesville in final non-district contest

The Lady Badger volleyball team traveled to Gatesville on Tuesday for the final non-district contest of the season. The Lampasas girls came up short in three sets, 15-25, 27-29, 13-25. The second set could have swung the match differently if the team could have pulled out a win in the extra points.
