Lampasas lifter headed to state meet after winning at regionals

On Saturday, six different Badger lifters made the trip to Gatesville for the regional powerlifting meet. As a team, they finished in the top half of the region.One Badger left with a gold medal and a ticket to the state powerlifting meet.

Three of the four Lampasas Middle School track teams came away as winners at the meet in Marble Falls last week.Both boys’ teams and the seventh-grade girls’ team all finished in first place in the standings, while the eighth-grade girls placed third.Individual results were as follows.

Badgers suffer tough defeat on the road at Burnet

Tuesday night saw the first road district game of the season for the Badger baseball team when they headed to Burnet to take on a very tough Bulldog team.The Badgers suffered a 15-2 loss, as Burnet hit the ball well all night and capitalized on Lampasas mistakes to score runs.

The Lampasas soccer team will play in the postseason for the first time under head coach Samuel Burnside.“Everyone is excited to continue this season for as long as we allow it to, and I could especially see it on the seniors’ faces,” head coach Samuel Burnside said.
