Laura Lou Carroll, 78 of Burnet, died on Dec. 30, 2025.Laura was born on May 12, 1947, in Comanche to parents Lloyd and Mary Thorp. Growing up, she lived and went to school in Lampasas.Laura was a wonderful housewife and had many different jobs along the way. One of her passions was cleaning houses.

Mrs. Woods

Lavonie “Vonnie” Hoozer Woods, 84, of Kingsland, died on Dec. 23, 2025.She was born on Dec. 15, 1941, in Beaumont to Earl and Hazel Smith Hoozer.Vonnie was raised in Vidor, and she graduated from Vidor High School in 1960.Shortly afterward, she served her country in the United States Army.

Mrs. Welch

Ruth Anne Key Welch, 86, of Lampasas, died peacefully on Dec. 31, 2025.She was born on March 24, 1939, in Austin to James Richard Key II and Geraldine (Dumas) Key.Anne married James Everett Welch in El Paso on Aug. 31, 1957.

Mr. Blaylock

On Dec. 26, 2025, at the age of 97, Joe Sharp Blaylock died in Round Rock, surrounded by his family.Joe was born in Granger, the youngest child of seven to Harvey Charles Blaylock and Jettie Vesti (Raby) Blaylock. He moved to Austin when he was 4 years old.

Mr. Richardson

John Joseph Richardson, lovingly known as “Daddy” to his wife, Kay, died peacefully on Dec. 27, 2025, in Copperas Cove.John was born on Nov. 2, 1948, in Lampasas to Joseph Berry and Doris (Stafford) Richardson. He faithfully served his country in the U.S.

Gary Phillip “Phil” McCullough, 77, died on Dec. 17, 2025, in Bertram.Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Dec. 23 at 1 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Corbin

Anneta Marlene Corbin, 92, of Lampasas, died peacefully on Dec. 16, 2025.Services will be held at First Street Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Dec. 22, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Nix Cemetery.Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Marian LaRue McGuire Hatcher of Arlington, Texas, died peacefully on Dec. 5, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer.She is survived by three children and their spouses, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
